You can cancel most orders within 14 days for a full refund, and you’re always covered if something arrives faulty. Here’s how it works for each thing we sell.
How to cancel or ask for a refund
Email us with your name and order number and tell us what you’d like to cancel. You don’t have to give a reason. You can also use the model cancellation form from the Consumer Contracts Regulations, but you don’t need to.

DVDs and other physical goods
- You can cancel within 14 days of the day you receive your order, for any reason.
- Send the item back within 14 days of telling us. Unless it’s faulty or we sent the wrong thing, you pay the cost of returning it.
- We’ll refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting the item back (or of you showing us proof you’ve posted it, if that’s sooner).
- DVDs must come back in their sealed wrapping. Once a sealed DVD has been opened we can’t accept it back unless it’s faulty. This is allowed under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for sealed audio and video recordings.
Perks for backing a film
- You can cancel a perk within 14 days of ordering for a full refund.
- After 14 days a perk can’t be cancelled or refunded, because we start using the money on the film and reserving your place in the credits straight away. See Terms and conditions for what happens if a target isn’t reached or a film is stopped.
- Digital downloads: once you’ve agreed to start downloading and the download has begun, you lose the right to cancel that part of the perk.
If the target isn’t reached or a film is stopped
Every pledge goes straight into making the film, whether or not we hit the target. If we fall short, we’ll carry on with the funds raised and look for other ways to close the gap. Backing an independent film carries risk, so we can’t guarantee when a film will be finished, or that it will be finished at all. Pledges, perks and donations aren’t refunded if the target isn’t met, or if a film is delayed or stopped. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights, including your right to cancel within 14 days and your rights if anything we send you is faulty.
Donations
Donations are gifts, so they aren’t normally refundable. If you’ve donated by mistake or the wrong amount, email us within 14 days and we’ll refund it.
Faulty or damaged items
If a DVD or anything else you buy is faulty, damaged or not as described, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you the right to reject it within 30 days for a full refund, including return postage. After 30 days you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that doesn’t work, a refund. Email us with a photo of the problem and we’ll sort it out.
How refunds are paid
We refund to the card or payment method you used to pay. Stripe usually takes 5 to 10 working days to show the refund on your statement.
